Former Tottenham and Ireland Winger Tony Galvin Recovering from Stroke, Spurs Announce - SCCG Management

Tony Galvin, aged 69, is recuperating after suffering a stroke, as confirmed by Tottenham Hotspur. Galvin, who played for Spurs in the 1980s, participated in 273 matches and secured two consecutive FA Cup victories in 1981 and 1982. Both finals, against Manchester City and QPR, required replays, and Galvin played in all four encounters. The victory against City was decided by Ricky Villa’s remarkable solo goal, which originated from one of Galvin’s signature runs down the left wing. The football club extends its best wishes for his recovery.
