Tony Galvin, aged 69, who secured two FA Cups and a Uefa Cup with Tottenham, is recovering from a stroke, according to the club. During the 1980s, Galvin played 273 games for Spurs, contributing to consecutive FA Cup victories in 1981 and 1982, both resolved in replays against Manchester City and QPR, where he featured in all four matches. The famed replay against City was concluded by Ricky Villa’s remarkable solo goal, originating from Galvin’s signature advance down the left wing.
