Tony Galvin, 69, who achieved two FA Cups and a Uefa Cup victory with Tottenham, is on the mend after a stroke, according to the club. Tottenham extended their best wishes, stating that Galvin is now recovering. Known for his performances in the 1980s, Galvin played in 273 matches for Spurs, contributing to their FA Cup victories in 1981 and 1982. Both finals, against Manchester City and QPR, required replays, with Galvin starting in each encounter. A memorable moment in the City replay was Ricky Villa’s remarkable solo goal, initiated by Galvin’s classic charge down the left wing.
