Liam Delap Set to Depart Relegated Ipswich as Everton Lead Chase

Everton have entered into talks with Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap regarding a potential summer transfer. The 22-year-old forward is expected to leave Ipswich following the club’s relegation from the Premier League, and his contract reportedly includes a £30 million release clause.

In addition to Everton, Delap has attracted interest from several Premier League sides including Manchester United, Chelsea, and Newcastle. Despite the fierce competition, Everton are hoping to gain an edge by offering Delap a clear path to regular first-team football, with the promise of being their primary striker next season.

Manager David Moyes acknowledged that Everton are “a bit behind the black ball” in the race for the young forward but emphasized the appeal of a leading role in the squad.

Alongside their pursuit of Delap, Everton are also monitoring Liverpool winger Ben Doak as they continue to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season.
