Liam Delap Set for Summer Exit as Everton Make a Move
Everton are in advanced discussions to sign Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap ahead of the summer transfer window. The club has also expressed interest in Liverpool winger Ben Doak as they look to strengthen their attacking options.
Following Ipswich’s relegation from the Premier League, Delap is expected to move on, with a £30 million release clause in his contract now active. The 22-year-old forward is attracting interest from several top-flight clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea, and Newcastle United.
Everton manager David Moyes acknowledged that the club faces stiff competition for Delap’s signature but believes they offer a unique opportunity. While other suitors may rotate or bench the young striker, Everton is prepared to make him their starting center-forward for the upcoming season.
