Liam Delap in Talks with Everton Amid Premier League Interest
Everton have entered discussions to sign Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap this summer, as the 22-year-old looks set to leave following Ipswich’s relegation from the Premier League. The Merseyside club is also showing interest in Liverpool winger Ben Doak.
Delap, who has a £30 million release clause in his contract, is attracting attention from several top clubs including Manchester United, Chelsea, and Newcastle. However, Everton hope to gain an edge in the race by offering Delap the opportunity to become their first-choice striker next season—something their rivals may not be able to promise.
Everton manager David Moyes acknowledged the stiff competition for Delap’s signature but sees a clear pathway for the young forward at Goodison Park, which could appeal to the striker as he considers his next move.
