WSL Worried Over Sky Broadcast Times Following Derby 2025's Low TV Viewership - SCCG Management

Arsenal v Chelsea attracted only 71,000 viewers

Saturday noon kick-off is believed to contribute to the decrease

The Women’s Super League is worried about the broadcast slots chosen by Sky Sports this season after only 71,000 people watched the major match between Arsenal and Chelsea on television this month.

The average audience on Sky Sports Main Event was 55,900, which is less than the 57,000 attendance at the Emirates Stadium, with an additional 15,100 viewers on Sky Sports Premier League. The same fixture last season drew 732,000 viewers as it was aired free-to-air on the BBC and occurred during the men’s international break.
