Brothers used high-vis jackets in disguise
“This was a ridiculous effort to see the game”
Two football fans, donning high-vis jackets and posing as stewards to watch a derby match between Southampton and Portsmouth, have received a three-year ban from attending matches.
Kane and Dale Green, brothers and Portsmouth fans, carried radio equipment to infiltrate the match at St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton last September. They pleaded guilty at Southampton magistrates’ court to fraud by false representation and entering the playing field during a football match, resulting in fines of about £700 each and a football banning order, as stated by Hampshire Constabulary.
