Tottenham’s sporting director, Johan Lange, has articulated the reasoning for appointing Igor Tudor as head coach until the season’s end. Lange stated: “it’s crucial to have a shorter process compared to changing a head coach over the summer. We interviewed several candidates. Igor greatly impressed us during the interview.
“He brings extensive experience at the highest football level. As a player, he was with a very prominent club, one of the biggest globally, Juve. He was also part of a strong generation of the Croatia national team in the late 90s. He has demonstrated an ability to join clubs in February, March, including major clubs, and make an immediate performance impact. That was indeed a significant factor.”
