Myles Lewis-Skelly missed out due to limited play, offering the City player a chance to prove himself for the World Cup. The 20-year-old joins having recently contained Mohamed Salah. While not the feat it once was, O’Reilly still needed grit and patience against this resilient phase of the Egyptian star. He consistently dispossessed his opponent, pleasing the home supporters, and advanced effectively. If Pep Guardiola trusts O’Reilly in big matches and he stays fit, the City academy product could very well secure England’s most open position.
