The NFL has revealed the 2025 season MVP finalists: Christian McCaffrey, Josh Allen, Matthew Stafford, Drake Maye, and Trevor Lawrence.
McCaffrey is notable for being the second player, alongside Joe Burrow, to be a finalist for three AP NFL awards in a single year—also competing for Offensive Player of the Year and Comeback Player of the Year. He had a remarkable season with 1,202 rushing yards, 10 touchdowns, 102 receptions, 924 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns, significantly contributing to the 49ers’ 12 wins and playoff appearance.
Allen delivered another impressive season with 25 touchdown passes, a 102.2 passer rating, and 14 rushing touchdowns, leading the Buffalo Bills to their seventh consecutive playoff berth.
Lawrence had a breakthrough year in 2025, amassing 4,007 passing yards, 29 touchdown passes, and 12 interceptions, steering the Jaguars to an AFC South title with 13 wins.
Drake Maye showed substantial progress in his second NFL season, recording 4,394 passing yards, 31 touchdowns, eight interceptions, leading the league with a 113.5 passer rating and a 72 percent completion rate. He was crucial in the New England Patriots’ AFC East division title and securing the top seed in the AFC playoffs.
Lastly, Stafford had arguably his best season, leading the NFL with 4,707 passing yards and 46 touchdown passes, finishing just behind Maye with a 109.2 passer rating. His outstanding performance earned him his first All-Pro selection.
