Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner is determined to ensure the club builds on their historic FA Cup triumph and avoids becoming a “one-hit wonder.” Following their stunning victory over Manchester City in the final, the Austrian coach emphasized the importance of continued progress through sensible decision-making rather than drastic changes.
The FA Cup win marked Palace’s first major trophy and earned them a place in next season’s Europa League. Glasner, however, isn’t letting the celebrations distract from the bigger picture.
“I’m 100% here,” Glasner confirmed, amid speculation linking him with a move to Tottenham Hotspur. “We need to keep moving forward without doing crazy things. That’s the key to turning success into something lasting.”
The Palace boss shared that he left the post-match festivities at Wembley early, missing a viral moment when club chairman Steve Parish was spotted singing karaoke at a local bar. Glasner also skipped Austria’s Eurovision win that same evening, opting instead to spend the time with family. “It must be a great song,” he joked.
Looking ahead, Glasner faces selection challenges, with key players Adam Wharton and Marc Guéhi unavailable for the upcoming match against Wolves. Nevertheless, his focus remains on maintaining the momentum and steering Palace into a new era built on consistency and ambition.
