Manager recognizes the similarities between his tenure and the Spurs experience of his West Ham counterpart, the upcoming visitors on Saturday.
When Thomas Frank looks over at Nuno Espírito Santo on the touchline this Saturday afternoon, he’ll see more than just a reminder of past Tottenham managers. In his toughest moments—and there have been plenty of them during a challenging first season at the club—Frank might also catch a glimpse of his own future.
The resemblances between the two are evident and hard to overlook as Nuno returns to Spurs with West Ham, eager to secure a result to lift the club out of the relegation zone. Nuno joined Spurs in 2021 after earning recognition in English football with Wolves, guiding them from the Championship to success in the top tier. Similarly, Frank achieved this with Brentford before joining Spurs last summer.
