Copenhagen’s 3-2 win prolongs Villarreal’s struggles
Ajax secured their first points in this season’s Champions League by scoring three late goals for a 4-2 victory at Qarabag on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Villarreal remained winless after a 3-2 home defeat to Copenhagen.
Qarabag opened the scoring in the 10th minute when Camilo Dúran chased a long pass and skillfully lobbed the approaching Ajax goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros. Ajax leveled six minutes before halftime as Kasper Dolberg cut inside and fired a distant shot into the bottom corner.
