Ajax keeps hopes alive with 4-2 win at Qarabag
Danish side’s 3-2 victory keeps Villarreal winless
Ajax secured their first points of this Champions League season by scoring three late goals to achieve a 4-2 victory at Qarabag on Wednesday, while Copenhagen’s 3-2 win at Villarreal left the Spanish team winless.
Qarabag opened the scoring in the 10th minute as Camilo Dúran chased a long pass and lobbed the advancing Ajax keeper Vitezslav Jaros from afar. Ajax equalized six minutes before halftime when Kasper Dolberg cut inside and fired a long-range shot into the bottom corner.
