12.32 PricedUp.Bet Gordon Richards Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase
In the opening race, THE JUKEBOX KID catches my eye. He won his sole point and debuted successfully under rules at Uttoxeter in March. Although he didn’t match that form at Ayr the next month, he shows potential, and an opening mark of 122 seems generous. He looks like a strong contender.
Tips: THE JUKEBOX KID
13.02 PricedUp Novices’ Hurdle
Hurdle newcomer TORMUND GIANTSBANE appears promising. He won at Worcester initially and was narrowly defeated at Warwick, looking unlucky not to remain unbeaten. Despite not racing since, he should make an impact with a clear round.
Tips: TORMUND GIANTSBANE
13.32 PricedUp.Bet Houghton Mares’ Chase
The Mares’ Listed Chase is intriguing, with Telepathique’s return anticipated. However, I find PAGGANE more appealing. Consistent under Willie Mullins and impressive in three starts for the current yard, her recent second in the Silver Trophy was solid.
Tips: PAGGANE
14.02 Stephex Trucks UK Castletown Handicap Hurdle
I favor Olly Murphy’s KAPAL LAYAR. A significant improver last season, he won his last two starts impressively. Nine pounds higher than his Perth win, he still has potential to rise further.
Tips: KAPAL LAYAR
14.37 Colin Parker Memorial Intermediate Chase
HANDSTANDS remains unbeaten over fences and should have the pace to outmatch Resplendent Grey. Although the latter is respected, he has 10lb to overcome with Ben Pauling’s charge, who is better suited to the distance.
Tips: HANDSTANDS
15.12 PricedUp Cumberland Handicap Chase
This event is open, but INIS OIRR is capable at his best and 2lb lighter than when winning the Edinburgh National last year. Off a favorable mark and fit after a neck-second here, he seems set to play a key role.
Tips: INIS OIRR
