While forechecking into the Ducks’ zone, his right skate tangled with Anaheim’s Drew Helleson, leading to an awkward fall. Horvat left the ice 6:52 into the second period and went straight to the locker room, with no further updates from the team. Mathew Barzal took over Horvat’s role as first-line center, and Jean-Gabriel Pageau shifted to center on the second line, with Simon Holmstrom filling in on the right. Horvat has been a key player this season, scoring a team-high 19 goals in 31 games, tied for third in the NHL.
