The Michigan Wolverines announced the firing of head coach Sherrone Moore with cause on Wednesday, December 10th. Biff Poggi will serve as the interim head coach and lead Michigan in the upcoming Cheez-It Citrus Bowl against the Texas Longhorns, but Poggi is a temporary fix.
With Moore’s departure, Michigan has officially begun its search for a permanent head coach. Several candidates have been speculated as potential replacements, with two names currently standing out as the clear favorites according to Kalshi odds—Kalen Deboer and Jedd Fisch.

Minter Unlikely to Return

Additionally, Minter is currently enjoying a successful stint with the Los Angeles Chargers, making a return to Michigan less probable.
