There’s a game worthy of the UEFA Champions League Final tonight as Barcelona host Paris St-Germain on matchday two of the league phase.
Most people wanted to see these sides slug it out in last season’s showpiece but Barca were edged out by Inter Milan in one of the greatest ever semi-finals.
PSG then ripped the Italians apart in the final but the European champions will have to dig deep in Catalonia with a host of star players missing.
Barcelona vs Paris St-Germain top betting tips
PSG looked imperious in the first Champions League outing as they thrashed Atalanta 4-0 in the French capital.
But they have since lost 1-0 to Marseille in Ligue 1 while Barcelona are unbeaten in eight outings this term, racking up seven wins.
Luis Enrique also has a long injury list and five of the stars who started last season’s final could miss out tonight. That’s why BoyleSports make Barcelona 4/5 favourites, with PSG as big as 14/5.
The supporting cast in Paris is still pretty impressive but Barca will fancy their chances and backing them to win the first half pays 5/4.
There should be heaps of chances at both ends and a treble on Robert Lewandowski, Marcus Rashford and Bradley Barcola all having an effort on target pays 11/10 at Bet365.
Monaco vs Manchester City
Manchester City are starting to find a bit of consistency but they face a tricky game in the UEFA Champions League tonight away to Monaco.
It’s five games without defeat for Pep Guardiola’s men and they would have won all those games had Arsenal not scored a stoppage-time leveller at the Emirates.
That’s why BoyleSports make them 4/9 hot favourites tonight but Monaco’s home form suggests it won’t be easy.
The Ligue 1 side have all three of their games at the Stade Louis II this season, scoring three or more in each game.
So I’m going to combine BTTS with over 2.5 goals at 20/21 with BoyleSports as Monaco have plenty of firepower to test City’s defence.
Guardiola’s side usually give their opponents a few sights of goal so I like the evens on offer at Bet365 for Gianluigi Donnarumma to make over 2.5 saves.
Arsenal vs Olympiakos
It was a good weekend for Arsenal as their last-gap win at Newcastle cut Liverpool’s Premier League lead to just two points.
The Gunners look like the real deal this season and they got off to a great start in the Champions League with a 2-0 victory in Bilbao.
Olympiakos now come to the Emirates and BoyleSports have the Greeks as whopping 18/1 outsiders.
Arteta will probably make a few changes after such a draining weekend game and skipper Martin Odegaard could return to the midfield.
The Norwegian will be out to make an impact and he’s 9/4 for both a goal and an assist.
Ayoub El Kaabi netted 27 times last term and the Oympiakos striker is already on four goals for this campaign. He’s evens just to have an effort on target tonight and that looks decent value.
