Newcastle are toiling in the Premier League but they’ve saved some of their best performances for the Champions League and should return to form tonight when they host Athletic Bilbao.
Sunday’s dismal 3-1 loss at West Ham United made it just three wins in 10 league games for the Magpies but they’ve romped to 4-0 and 3-0 victories in their last two European outings.
Atheltic Bilbao are also struggling domestically, with a weekend derby loss to Real Sociedad leaving them 11th in La Liga.
But they got off the mark in the Champions League last time out against Qarabag and will be hoping a win at St James’ Park can spark their season into life.
Newcastle United vs Athletic Bilbao top betting tips
Bilbao have failed to win any of their last four away games so it’s not a big surprise to see them as 6/1 outsiders with BOYLE Sports.
Newcastle are 1/2 hot favourites but you can boost their odds to a decent 6/5 by adding on under 3.5 goals.
Athletic Club usually fly into tackles so this has the potential to be a busy night for the ref. The Basques look good value at 10/11 for most cards with Bet365 and Bilbao -1 in the card handicap pays 11/5.
Manchester City vs Borussia Dortmund
It will take a top team to stop Manchester City in the Champions League this season if they can keep red-hot Erling Haaland fit and firing.
Pep Guardiola’s men have made a strong start to the season and would have chalked up three successive wins in Europe had they not conceded a late penalty away to Monaco.
Dortmund are the visitors to the Etihad tonight and the German giants have also been in fine form, with their only loss all season coming to Bayern Munich.
But BOYLE Sports make them 6/1 outsiders at the Etihad and it’s probably because their former striker has been in such devastating form for City.
Haaland’s weekend double took his tally for the season to 26 in just 16 games and the Norwegian is just 1/2 for another goal tonight.

Qarabag vs Chelsea
World Club champions Chelsea have bounced back well from their mauling in Munich and should rack up a third successive Champions League win away to Qarabag.
The Blues were outgunned by Bayern Munich in a 3-1 loss but have since seen off Benfica and Ajax at Stamford Bridge.
Qarabag also beat Benfica on matchday one then followed it up with a win over Copenhagen but lost 3-1 in Bilbao last time out in Europe.
BOYLE Sports make Chelsea 4/11 favourites in Azerbaijan but backing them at -1 in the handicap boosts the odds to 20/21.
Qarabag have scored in 17 of their 18 games this season so backing their forwards for shots on target could pay off.
Abdellah Zoubir has netted twice in Europe this season and the playmaker is 11/8 at BOYLE Sports for over 0.5 efforts on target.
