Trade unions from 36 nations have submitted a complaint to the International Labour Organisation regarding the conditions faced by migrant workers in Saudi Arabia. The complaint urges the establishment of a “commission of inquiry” into the country’s labor practices, a significant measure within the ILO’s capabilities. This call to action arises from increasing worries that migrant workers’ conditions are not improving sufficiently as the country prepares for the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
