Germany Women vs Denmark Women

Germany is being touted as potential winners of the women’s Euros this summer, and a win against Denmark in Group C tonight should secure their place in the knockout stages.

The Germans were solid, albeit unspectacular, as they defeated Poland 2-0 in their opener, but the victory came at a cost, as captain Giulia Gwinn sustained an injury that ended her tournament.

Even without their captain, Christian Wuck’s squad should overpower a Danish team that lost 1-0 to Sweden in their opener.

Poland Women vs Sweden Women

The other Group C match tonight sees Sweden face Poland, with the Scandinavian team confident of achieving a second consecutive victory.

Sweden sits sixth in FIFA’s world rankings, 21 spots ahead of Poland, which explains why BoyleSports lists them as 2/9 favorites tonight.

Poland attempted to frustrate Germany in their opener, and to some extent, it worked, with the group favorites having to wait until the second half to secure the two goals that clinched their victory.

Poland will need to be more expansive tonight to keep their hopes of advancing alive, but Sweden won’t offer many chances after keeping a clean sheet against Denmark in their opener.
