Tuesday’s football tips: Arsenal winger Madueke 6/4 to hurt old club Chelsea in semi-final clash

Arsenal were back to their brilliant best at Elland Road on Saturday and talk of a Quadruple is now starting with the Gunners still fighting on all fronts.

That dream will die if Mikel Arteta’s men crash in the second leg of their EFL Cup semi-final tonight but Arsenal are in the driving seat after beating Chelsea 3-2 at Stamford Bridge.

It would be a surprise if they slipped up back on home turf but the Blues certainly have enough firepower in their ranks to give it a real go.

Arsenal vs Chelsea top betting tips

Saturday’s clash with Leeds looked like a potential banana skin for the Gunners but they were superb and a brilliant 4-0 win helped them move six points clear in the Premiership title race.

Later that day, Chelsea had to come from 2-0 to claim a thrilling derby win over West Ham but that clash summed up their defensive vulnerabilities.

So I fancy Arteta’s side to get another win in tonight’s second leg, although the odds aren’t great at a best 7/10 with Betfred. Adding on over 1.5 goals boosts the price to 20/23 at Bet365.

Noni Madueke was superb at Elland Road after stepping in for the injured Bukayo Saka. The winger will be out to impress against old club Chelsea and is 6/4 at BetMGM to score or assist.

St Mirren vs Hearts

Hearts stretched their lead in the SPFL Premiership over the weekend and can now move nine points clear with a win away to St Mirren tonight.

City rivals Hibs did the Jambos a favour on Sunday by holding Rangers to a 0-0 draw, with Derek McInnes’ men now leading both Old Firm sides by six points.

They keep rising to the challenge but face another stiff test tonight at a stadium that hasn’t been a happy hunting ground.

Hearts have failed to win on their last five visits to Paisley and the Buddies are always a tough nut to crack at home, even though they’re having a poor Premiership campaign.

This should be a tight one and the half-time draw looks worth a punt at 6/5 with Bet365.

We saw 13 corners when the Jambos last came calling so over 10.5 flag kicks also looks good at 21/20 with McBookie.

Bologna vs AC Milan

There’s a huge game in Serie A tonight as AC Milan look to stay in touch with leaders Inter by claiming three precious points on the road in Bologna.

The leaders streaked eight points clear by beating Cremonese at the weekend so the pressure is on their city rivals to respond.

AC Milan dropped two points with a draw away to Roma in their last outing and this is another test of mettle.

Bologna’s form is poor though, with just two wins inside 90 minutes in their last 12 matches, and I wasn’t impressed with them in the Europa League draw with Celtic.

So I’m going to back Milan for the win tonight at 23/20 with Bet365 as they need three points to stay in the title reckoning.

We saw five yellows when Milan edged a 1-0 win over Bologna at the San Siro earlier this season and backing Bologna for most booking points pays 19/20 with Betfred.

Super singles

  • Noni Madueke goal or assist 6/4 BetMGM
  • Over 10.5 corners in St Mirren v Hearts 21/20 McBookie
  • AC Milan to win 23/20 Bet365
