Ange Postecoglou has been dismissed by Tottenham despite securing the Europa League title. The European triumph, the first in 41 years, wasn’t enough to save him after a Premier League season where Spurs lost 22 out of 38 games, finishing 17th. After two seasons, Postecoglou leaves, providing his successor with Champions League football next season. Daniel Levy, the club chairman and minority owner, will now look to appoint a 14th permanent manager in 24 years. The club has engaged with intermediaries to explore a potential approach for Brentford’s Thomas Frank.
