The Minnesota Timberwolves have reached the Western Conference Finals for the second consecutive year, with Anthony Edwards and the team once again exceeding expectations.
Though the Timberwolves are on the right track with Edwards leading, Minnesota has some tasks ahead in the NBA offseason, a common challenge for teams in the West aiming to compete with the defending NBA champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder.
In a significant early move, the team has secured a lucrative five-year contract with emerging star Naz Reid.

While Edwards is the franchise’s star, and Julius Randle appears second in command, Reid has been pivotal to the team’s success, leaving his mark on the games.
Reid, 25, has been essential to the Timberwolves, who have reached the Western Conference Finals in consecutive seasons. Known for his ability to stretch the floor as a skilled 3-point shooter, he was one of just three forward/centers to average at least 5.8 3-point attempts per game last season alongside Kristaps Porzingis and Victor Wembanyama, shooting 39.5% from long range over the past two seasons.
Minnesota aims to remain competitive in the West despite strong competition, which might intensify over the summer due to NBA free agency and potential trades.
