Thomas Partey, the former Arsenal midfielder, is on the verge of joining Villarreal on a free transfer this week. He has already agreed to the contract and completed his medical examination. Partey is scheduled to appear in Westminster magistrates court on Tuesday, following charges last month of five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, soon after his departure from Arsenal due to unsuccessful contract negotiations. He has denied all allegations.
