Oldham Athletic and Southend United both have the chance to get back in the EFL today as they face off at Wembley in the National League play-off final.
When I was growing up, the Latics were gracing major cup semi-finals and competing in the Premier League so it has been sad to see them drop down to non-league football.
Oldham can end their two-year exile with a win today but Southend will be equally desperate to restore their EFL status, having tumbled from League One to the National League inside the last five years.
Oldham Athletic vs Southend United top betting tips
This is a tricky one to call but BoyleSports make Oldham 3/4 favourites to come out on top, with Southend 20/21 in the same market.
That’s probably down the fact the Shrimpers snuck into the play-offs in seventh place while Oldham finished two places and five points ahead of them in the table.
Southend also needed extra time to win their quarter-final then only defeated Forest Green on penalties in the semis, while Oldham romped to 3-0 and 4-0 wins in their games.
So the Latics look worthy favourites and you can increase the odds to 7/5 at BoyleSports by backing them to win inside 90 minutes.
Veteran striker Joe Garner has netted four goals in his last three games for Oldham so he looks a bit overpriced at 3/1 for anytime scorer at SkyBet.
Willem II v Telstar
The Dutch promotion/relegation play-offs come to a conclusion today and the final between Willem II and Telstar is balanced on a knife edge.
These teams drew 2-2 in a thrilling first leg and BoyleSports now make Willem II their 21/20 favourites to finish the job with a win at home.
Telstar will be ruining the late equaliser they conceded in midweek and the second-tier side are 21/10 to grab the win that would seal promotion.

Rapid Vienna vs LASK Linz
There’s another play-off in Austria tonight and Rapid Vienna have a bit of work to do if they want to pip LASK to a place in Europe.
LASK took control of the tie with a 3-1 win at home in midweek and are now just 1/5 with most firms to claim that Conference League slot.
But Rapid are BoyleSports 5/6 favourites for a win on the night, with LASK at 12/5 as they defend that two-goal lead.
The capital club need to attack from the start so I like the 13/10 on offer at BoyleSports for Rapid to win over 3.5 first-half corners.
LASK will probably sit back to defend their advantage in the tie so the half-time draw stands a chance in this one too at 23/20.
