SlipsTips’ Tips: Side with player-based selection in Paris

SlipsTips shares a selection ahead of France’s World Cup qualifier with Ukraine on Thursday night.

The Parc des Princes will play host to a crunch clash in World Cup qualifying in Group D on Thursday night, as France face Ukraine.

A home win would see France stamp their ticket to next year’s World Cup, while a victory for the visitors would see them move joint-top of the section ahead of Sunday’s final round of fixtures.

I’ve already penned a separate match preview on this clash, but I’ve since identified a player-based selection that holds plenty of appeal.

Michael Olise is an attractive 5/6 shot on Bet365 to be fouled twice or more on Thursday night.

The classy French winger is a player who regularly finds himself on the receiving end of some robust challenges from his direct opponents.

That was certainly the case during France’s most recent fixture with Iceland , with Olise brought down on no fewer than four occasions.

It’s also worth noting that Olise was fouled three times during Les Bleus’ home game with Iceland back in September.

On the domestic front, Olise has also been earning Bayern Munich set-pieces on a regular basis this season, drawing an average of 1.70 fouls per 90 in the Bundesliga this term.

Moreover, the 23-year-old has been fouled twice or more in five of his 10 outings in the German top-flight this season.

On top of that, Olise was fouled on multiple occasions at this venue last midweek during Bayern Munich’s 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

The likelihood of Olise coming up against Vitalii Mykolenko only adds to the appeal of siding with this selection.

Mykolenko overstepped the mark twice during Ukraine’s win away at Iceland last month, not to mention he has committed exactly three fouls in Everton’s recent Premier League away days at both Liverpool and Man City.
