The Scottish Premiership title race promises more drama on Sunday, as Kilmarnock welcomes Celtic to Rugby Park in the first match of the day’s double-header.

Celtic enter the day in third, knowing that a victory here will turn up the heat on Rangers and Hearts ahead of their main event clash at Ibrox later on.

Martin O’Neill’s squad comes in after a dramatic 2-1 win over Livingston, while Kilmarnock shows signs of resurgence, recently defeating St Mirren 4-3.

Predictably, Celtic are the heavy favorites for Sunday, with an away win priced at 2/5 with most bookies.

Yet, instead of going for the obvious, I’m looking at the player shots market for an interesting angle.

Julian Araujo can be found at 17/20 with Coral or Ladbrokes to take at least one shot at Rugby Park this Sunday – a price that seems quite reasonable.

The Mexican has quickly made a mark since joining from Bournemouth last month, his tendency to shoot particularly noticeable.

In fact, Araujo is averaging 1.47 shots per game over his six Scottish Premiership matches so far.

In his last two league appearances, the right-back for the Hoops has made three attempts in total – including two shots in a recent game against Falkirk.

Facing a vulnerable Kilmarnock team allowing an average of 15.12 shots per game in the top-flight this season, there’s plenty of opportunity for this trend to persist.

Taking all this into account, the 17/20 odds for Araujo to have at least one shot in this game appears to be a valuable pick.
