SlipsTips’ Bet Builder Tips: Look for cards and corners in West Lothian

After delivering another winner on Thursday night, SlipsTips has shared a Bet Builder double ahead of Livingston’s clash with Hearts in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.

Livingston vs Hearts (Saturday, 15:00)

Both seeking to return to winning ways in the Scottish Premiership, Livingston will lock horns with Hearts on Saturday afternoon.

Livingston saw their unbeaten start to life back in the top flight come to an end when losing 3-0 away at Celtic last weekend.

As for Hearts, they dropped points for the first time this season last Saturday, though they did stage a dramatic comeback to claim a 3-3 draw when hosting Motherwell.

Over 3 Hearts Corners

For the first leg of what will be a Bet Builder double, I’ll back Hearts to earn a minimum of four corner kicks on Saturday afternoon. Derek McInnes’ men have been relatively prolific on the corner front across the opening weeks of the Scottish Premiership season, averaging seven flag kicks per 90.

Dig a little deeper and it can be seen that Hearts have hit exactly nine corners in each of their last two outings in the Scottish top-flight. On top of that, the Jam Tarts clocked up six corners away from home against St Mirren in the Scottish League Cup a fortnight ago.

As for Livingston, they have conceded an average of six corners per 90 across their opening three league games of the season, including five when hosting Falkirk in their previous home match. What’s more, the Lions had to defend a sizable nine corners when Hibs were in town for a Scottish League Cup last 16 tie earlier this month.

Over 1 Livingston Card

Livingston failed to deliver two cards for me at Celtic Park last Saturday but I’m not going to let that put me off supporting the same selection in West Lothian this weekend. David Martindale’s men have been shown multiple cards in two of their opening three Scottish Premiership matches of the season, racking up four cards in their maiden home game of the campaign against Falkirk. The Lions also matched that card count when they played host to Hibs in the League Cup just one week later.

Hearts, on the other hand, have drawn multiple cards from each of their three Scottish Premiership opponents this season, including three on their previous top-flight road trip at Dundee United. I also suspect that a bumper Hearts away support could impose influence on referee Duncan Nicolson, which only adds to the appeal of backing Livingston to land two or more cards during this contest.
