Celebrating 27 years on air in August, Sky Sports News was launched for the 1998-99 football season by BSkyB. As the domestic football season wrapped up, changes were announced in the Osterley newsroom. Seven broadcast team members, including long-serving Rob Wotton and senior football reporter Melissa Reddy, announced their departures as part of voluntary redundancies.
