Two African countries, Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal, have been added to the travel ban list, joining Haiti and Iran. Fans from these nations might face entry restrictions into the US.
A proclamation by President Trump expanded existing travel restrictions to include these 2026 World Cup participants. The White House noted that Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal face “partial restrictions and entry limitations,” which are the least severe among the 18 countries now under the ban. Haiti and Iran, also World Cup participants, are subject to the strictest limitations.
