Manchester City’s season has lurched off the rails since the turn of the year and it will be fascinating to see how they react at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers today.
City headed into 2026 with high hopes of reclaiming their title but have taken just three points from their last four Premier League games.
They were also shocked by Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League on Tuesday night so badly need a response when Wolves come to the Etihad.
Manchester City vs Wolverhampton Wanderers top betting tips
Rock-bottom Wolves have finally picked up a bit of form, going five games unbeaten, but are still as big as 14/1 with BetMGM for a win at the Etihad.
The Molineux men are playing with a bit of freedom because they’re so far adrift of safety and might be able to cause City’s reeling defence some problems.
Wonderkid Mateus Mane has been a revelation since coming into the side and looks worth a punt at 13/8 with Bet365 for an effort on target.
Jeremy Doku should return for City after sitting on the bench in midweek and the winger will be key to breaking Wolves down.
He’s 11/10 at BetMGM for a goal or assist and that looks decent value if the Belgian starts.
AFC Bournemouth vs Liverpool
Liverpool’s unbeaten run now stands at 13 games but they face a tough Premier League test on the road in Bournemouth today.
Arne Slot’s side passed a Champions League examination in midweek as a 3-0 win at Marseille saw them take a big step towards sealing a place in the last 16.
But their Premier League form hasn’t been great of late, with draws in their last four outings, and that has left them clinging on to a place in the top four.
Bournemouth have won just once in their last 14 outings in all competitions but seven of those games have ended level.
BTTS has landed in their last eight so combining that with over 2.5 goals could pay off at 17/20 with Coral.
Florian Wirtz is starting to have a bigger impact for Liverpool, scoring four times in his last seven outings, and the German is a decent 8/5 at BetMGM for a goal or assist tonight.
Burnley vs Tottenham Hotspur
Thomas Frank bought some time at Tottenham with an impressive Champions League win in midweek but the pressure will pile back on if his side lose at Burnley in the Premier League today.
I fancied Dortmund to pile on the pain for Frank on Tuesday but Spurs deservedly took the lead and the Germans were done for after a harsh first-half red card.
Frank will be hoping the morale boost from that 2-0 victory will energise his squad for this trip to Turf Moor and Tottenham are 21/20 favourites with most firms.
But Scott Parker’s men won’t be a pushover, having lost just two of their last seven games, and they drew 1-1 at Anfield in their last Premier League outing.
This should be a close one and the half-time draw appeals at 6/5 with Coral.
Clarets defender Kyle Walker is going up against one of his old clubs and looks good at 2/1 with Bet365 for over 1.5 fouls.
