ROCKIN’ THE BOAT stayed on strongly to finish fourth on handicap debut when last seen, and off an unchanged mark, with Ryan Moore retained, he’s a key player. WICKED, SEVEN SYMPHONIES and BULLETIN all come into the race in decent form, so they cannot be ruled out.

Tips: ROCKIN’ THE BOAT, WICKED, SEVEN SYMPHONIES & BULLETIN

18.35 Star Sports National Stakes (Listed)

CLEAR FORCE landed the odds in good style at Ripon last time out and has leading claims, while FIRST LEGION made a successful debut at York and should go well, too. SAYIDAH HARD SPUN is another one to note in a tricky little event.

Tips: CLEAR FORCE, FIRST LEGION & SAYIDAH HARD SPUN

19.05 Star Sports Henry II Stakes (Group 3)

Last year’s Ascot Gold Cup runner-up TRAWLERMAN has a very good opportunity to get back to winning ways. The seven-year-old is a top-class stayer and remains the last horse to beat Kyprios. William Buick might be allowed to control this race, but even if not, he should get a lovely lead into the race if Coltrane decides to go forward. He is the BANKER on the card.

Tips: TRAWLERMAN

19.35 Star Sports Brigadier Gerard Stakes (Group 3)

OMBUDSMAN has to concede fitness under a 3lb penalty, but Ryan Moore has been booked to ride, and if there’s star potential in the line-up, he’s the one. I think he’s top-class. ALMAQAM is top on ratings, but I feel as though he’s had plenty of chances since winning here last season, and he would ideally be suited to softer ground. He’s the danger though.

Tips: OMBUDSMAN & ALMAQAM

20.05 Star Sports Heron Stakes (Listed)

Unbeaten in three, BAY CITY ROLLER has a 5lb penalty to contend with on his return following a Group 2 success last time out, but he’s clearly top-class, and will be hard to beat. OPERA BALLO is clearly better than his disappointing effort last time out and is worth another chance.

Tips: BAY CITY ROLLER & OPERA BALLO

20.40 starsports.bet Whitsun Cup Handicap

WHIP CRACKER doesn’t have the best of draws and has been a little disappointing so far this season, but if the application of first-time cheekpieces with Ryan Moore in the saddle has a positive impact, then he could go well. Others to consider include SURREY SHADOW, CRACK SHOT, SIERRA BLANCA and ARKHALIA FLYNN.

Tips: WHIP CRACKER, SURREY SHADOW, CRACK SHOT, SIERRA BLANCA & ARKHALIA FLYNN
