The second leg of the Serie B relegation playoff between Salernitana and Sampdoria was abandoned on Sunday due to home fans throwing smoke bombs and seats onto the field. Sampdoria was leading 2-0 when the interruption occurred in the 65th minute because of objects being hurled onto the pitch by Salernitana fans. Although the game briefly resumed, it was ultimately abandoned amidst chaotic scenes at Stadio Arechi.
