Rush Street Interactive (RSI), a leading online casino and sports betting operator in North and South America, has launched its proprietary online poker platform, BetRivers Poker, in Delaware, Michigan, and West Virginia.
RSI Announces Massive Expansion
This follows the platform’s initial launch in Pennsylvania in late 2024. The expansion aims to integrate player pools across four states, enhancing competition, offering larger tournament prizes, and providing a wider selection of games. RSI’s growth is facilitated by the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA), a legal framework allowing participating states to combine online poker player pools.
Rush Street Interactive has consolidated the poker player pools in all four states into a unified network. This shared liquidity is expected to improve the player experience with a broader selection of games, larger tournament prize pools, and a stronger cash-game environment.
RSI stated that the integrated poker network will allow for more frequent, larger tournaments, and a wider variety of game formats, benefiting both casual players and high-volume participants. It is also notable that this expansion into Delaware, Michigan, and West Virginia follows RSI’s reported 21% year-over-year revenue increase for the first quarter of 2025. The company appears to be in a stronger position as it begins this expansion.

RSI CEO Richard Schwartz expressed optimism about the expansion, calling the unified cross-state player pool a significant enhancement to the BetRivers Poker experience. The broader network is expected to attract more players, offer greater game variety, and increase tournament prize pools.
The development of BetRivers Poker was heavily influenced by feedback from the poker community, including significant contributions from renowned poker professional and industry innovator Phil Galfond. Galfond focused on gameplay and features that emphasize fairness and reward players.
