Rob Edwards has been appointed as the new head coach of Wolves with a three-and-a-half-year contract, after the club paid about £3m to Middlesbrough for his release. The 42-year-old left Boro 15 games into a three-year deal to succeed Vítor Pereira, who was dismissed on 2 November. Wolves are at the bottom of the Premier League with two points from 11 matches and will aim to break a losing streak in Edwards’ debut game against Crystal Palace on 22 November.
