The Los Angeles Rams secured their sixth consecutive victory by defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 34-7 on Sunday night.
The Rams dominated the game thoroughly, excelling on both offense and defense. This win places them at the top of the NFC standings for the first time since the 2018 season.
After the game, head coach Sean McVay praised his team’s resilience, which has positioned them well with six games remaining in the regular season.
“I love the way we’ve responded from some setbacks,” McVay said. “I love the way that we’ve handled a little bit of success. And through 11 weeks, I’m proud of them. Now, let’s see what we can do through 12.
“And I’m very confident that we’re going to give ourselves the best chance to do that because I’m betting on the people in that locker room.”
The Rams demonstrated their potential as a championship contender. Quarterback Matthew Stafford contributed to his impressive season with three touchdown passes, extending his streak to 27 consecutive touchdown passes without an interception, a new NFL record since play-by-play was first tracked in 1978.
Davante Adams also scored two touchdown receptions, maintaining his lead with 12 receiving touchdowns in the league.
“He’s playing like the most valuable player in the league,” Rams wide receiver Davante Adams said. “You can see it in the numbers, the way he’s taking command of the huddle and the offense, the way him and Sean [McVay] put things together and work throughout the week together to put together a good product for us. Just all around. I mean, he’s a great leader and obviously knows how to put points on the board and keep this offense moving.”
The Rams aim to continue their success in Week 13 on the road against the Carolina Panthers.
