Premier League outright tips: Bees offer value for the drop

Our selections for the upcoming Premier League campaign look at three markets and include a 3/1 tip for relegation.

The 2025/26 Premier League campaign is now nearly here and the excitement is building ahead of what should be another fascinating campaign.

Liverpool are the 7/4 title favourites as they look to defend their crown, closely followed by 9/4 Arsenal and 100/30 Manchester City.

Sunderland are the 30/100 favourites to be relegated, just ahead of 2/5 Burnley, while Championship champions Leeds United can be backed at 10/11 for a swift return to the second tier.

We take a look at some of the value bets ahead of the upcoming campaign.

Chelsea to finish in the top four @ 4/6

Chelsea finished fourth last season under Enzo Maresca and they seem to have stepped up a level over the summer.

The Blues won the FIFA Club World Cup after beating European champions Paris Saint-Germain in the final in New Jersey and they have continued to strengthen their squad.

Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens, Jorrel Hato, Liam Delap, Estevao, Dario Essugo, Mamadou Sarr and Kendry Paez have all joined the club in recent weeks and they have transformed their attack as a result.

Delap and Pedro could form a deadly partnership in the final third, while Chelsea now have some real strength in depth in key areas.

While Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City are all expected to fight it out for the title, Chelsea look the clear favourites to challenge that trio.

Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest all finished within four points of Chelsea last season, but all three teams are expected to regress, while Chelsea have enough quality across the park to handle their congested fixture list.

Brighton to finish in the top half @ 10/11

Brighton may have lost Pedro to Chelsea, but they moved quickly to replace him with Charalampos Kostoulas. New left-back Maxim De Cuyper looks like he has a big role in the team as well, and manager Fabian Hurzeler has already proven he can deliver the goods after guiding Brighton to eighth last season.

The Seagulls finished above Bournemouth and Brentford, who have both sold their key players this summer.

Brighton, unlike their rivals, look stable and ready to mount another charge for European football.

Brentford to be relegated @ 3/1

Brentford fans have to be panicking about the campaign ahead, despite the fact that the Bees finished 10th last season.

Manager Thomas Frank left for Tottenham, while star forward Bryan Mbuemo moved to Manchester United. Christian Norgaard’s departure for Arsenal and Mark Flekken’s decision to join Bayer Leverkusen mean the Bees are more exposed at the back and lack the punch they had on the counter-attack.

Striker Yoane Wissa is still at the club, but wants out, and new boss Keith Andrews has never managed a team in the top flight before.

Brentford have taken some calculated gambles in the past and they have reaped the rewards, but their current squad looks like it might struggle in the post-Frank era.
