Premier League Refers Leicester City to Independent Commission Over Alleged Financial Violations
The Premier League has formally referred Leicester City to an independent commission following allegations of financial misconduct relating to the English Football League’s (EFL) Profitability and Sustainability Rules for the 2023–24 season.
The accusations include breaking financial regulations during their time in the EFL, as well as failing to submit their annual accounts to the Premier League by the required deadline of December 31, 2024. Additionally, the club is alleged to have not provided full, complete, and timely cooperation with the Premier League’s inquiries into the matter.
