Packers vs. Lions NFL Thanksgiving Game Overview

The Green Bay Packers enter this matchup at 7-3-1 after a confidence-boosting win against the Vikings. Jordan Love continues to build chemistry with his receivers, particularly Christian Watson, who has topped 60 receiving yards with a 40-yard catch in each of his last two Thanksgiving appearances. Christian Watson Over 55.5 Receiving Yards

Christian Watson is entering this game in the right form and setting. Not only has he topped 60 receiving yards in back-to-back Thanksgiving games, but he has also produced at least one 40-yard reception in both.

With Jordan Love showing greater trust in him on contested and high-pressure throws, Watson should remain involved regardless of game flow – whether the Packers chase points or push vertical shots off play-action. With Green Bay short-handed at receiver, his target share should remain high.

Jahmyr Gibbs Anytime TD

Jahmyr Gibbs is closing in on a franchise two-game rushing record after posting 219 yards on the ground. His burst and acceleration are a matchup problem for a Packers defense that has struggled against running backs capable of bouncing outside.

Even if Detroit shifts toward short passing in the red zone due to offensive-line injuries, Gibbs is heavily involved in both phases and remains the Lions’ most dynamic scoring threat. With Detroit expected to focus on early scoring, Gibbs has multiple paths to the end zone.
