After experiencing a significant surge during the summer, Atlantic City casino revenue has slowed down in the fall and early winter. However, November saw a slight revenue rise for the nine New Jersey retail casinos. The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement reported that Atlantic City casinos generated $236.8 million in revenue for November, marking the second consecutive month of revenue growth in New Jersey.
While trailing behind New Jersey online casinos in November, Atlantic City maintains a revenue lead for the year.
Atlantic City Holds Edge on Online Casinos
Though online casinos have outperformed Atlantic City casinos in revenue for most of the year, the retail sector still slightly leads in annual revenue. In 2025, NJ online casinos generated more revenue than Atlantic City casinos in seven out of 11 months. Nonetheless, a strong period from May to August helped Atlantic City take the overall lead.

The difference stands at about $40 million, making it unlikely for online casinos to catch up in December. The most significant gap for iGaming was in October, with a $26 million difference.
The positive aspect is that both gambling forms in New Jersey will surpass their 2024 totals. Atlantic City ended 2024 with $2.82 billion. Even if December matches the yearly low of $203.5 million, 2025 revenue will reach at least $2.88 billion. New Jersey online casinos have already exceeded the 2024 total of $2.39 billion, aiming for approximately $2.88 billion in 2025, a nearly $500 million increase from the previous year.
Borgata Hotel Casino Clear Revenue Leader in Atlantic City
Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa has been the clear leader among Atlantic City casinos in 2025. In November, Borgata was over $26 million ahead of its nearest competitor, Hard Rock Atlantic City. Throughout 2025, Borgata has maintained a $230 million lead, holding 27.6% of the market share.
