Sunderland have gone off the boil a bit after a storming start to the Premier League season and they’ll be desperate to get back on track tonight with a home win over Burnley.
It’s now just one win in seven Premier League games for the Black Cats and they have slipped down to mid-table as a result.
But they’re still within striking distance of the European places and are heavy favourites at home, having gone unbeaten at the Stadium of Light so far this season.
Sunderland vs Burnley top betting tips
Burnley remain second bottom and looked doomed to relegation but their form has actually been decent of late.
Scott Parker’s men have lost just two of their last eight and are on a four-game unbeaten run yet they are 4/1 outsiders tonight with most big firms.
That’s probably because Sunderland’s home form has been so impressive and Regis Le Bris’ men beat Crystal Palace 2-1 in their last game at the Stadium of Light.
Sunderland are just 4/5 at Betfred for the win but you can boost those odds to 5/4 at Coral by adding on under 3.5 goals.
Brian Brobbey has been in good form for the Black Cats, with three goals in his last five games, and the powerful Dutchman is a tempting 6/5 at Paddy Power to score or assist.
Udinese vs Roma
Roma are on the fringes of the Serie A title fight and face another test of mettle on the road at inconsistent Udinese tonight.
This is a potential banana skin for Gian Piero Gasperini’s men after a trip to Greece on Europa League duty on Thursday night.
But they beat Udinese 2-0 back in November just days after defeating Rangers at Ibrox and are 19/20 favourites at Bet365 tonight.
Udinese won 3-1 at Verona in their last outing but have gone three without a win at home. Two of those matches were draws, though, and the other was a 1-0 loss to leaders Inter.
That suggests a tight game tonight and the stalemate pays 12/5 at Bet365. I’m playing it a bit safer and going for the half-time draw at 57/50 with BetMGM.
We only saw seven corners in the last meeting and backing under 8.5 flag kicks tonight pays 11/10 at SkyBet.
Real Mallorca vs Sevilla
There’s a relegation six-pointer in La Liga tonight as Real Mallorca look to pull level with Sevilla by beating them at the Son Moix.
The Islanders find themselves in the drop zone but all hope is not lost in a congested bottom half of the table.
Sevilla sit just three points above them and Mallorca have been strong at home this season, losing just twice all season.
They beat Athletic Bilbao 3-2 at the Son Moix a fortnight ago and now face a Sevilla side who last won away in La Liga all the way back in September.
Sevilla’s form has picked up of late, with a draw in Elche followed by a home win over Bilbao, but Mallorca still look good at 29/20 at Ladbrokes based on their home record.
This one could be fiery with so much at stake and Sevilla’s Jose Angel Carmona is 9/5 at Coral to take his card count for the season into double figures.
