MLB Home Run Picks & Predictions for Dinger Tuesday (May 6)
  • Tuesday is a great day to bet on players to hit a home run
  • Sportsbooks are offering promotions for MLB players to hit a home run on May 6
  • See below for my favorite home run picks today

Not only are all 30 teams in action today, but there is also a doubleheader, so there are 16 games to choose from when looking to bet on players to hit a home run today.

It is Dinger Tuesday at FanDuel Sportsbook, so all users can opt in and claim a 50% profit boost on any player to hit a home run on Tuesday, May 6. If someone has short odds to hit a home run, such as Aaron Judge, this boost can increase his odds to make it more worth your while. Or this boost allows for a longshot home run hitter to get even greater odds.

The options are endless this Dinger Tuesday. Keep reading to see my favorite home run picks today and who I am using my 50% profit boost on.

Dinger Tuesday Pick #1: Riley Greene (+645 at FanDuel with 50% Profit Boost)

My favorite home run pick today is Tigers outfielder Riley Greene at Coors Field. Greene has eight home runs on the season and has a 1.194 OPS in the month of May. He now heads to Colorado, the best ballpark for hitters. On the mound for the Rockies is Chase Dollander, who has a 2.88 HR/9 this year.

Dollander has struggled this season with a 6.48 ERA, and six of the eight home runs he has given up have come at home. This is a great matchup for Greene, who has hit seven of his eight homers off of righties.

Greene has +430 odds to hit a home run at FanDuel, but with the 50% Dinger Tuesday boost, he is +645 to go yard tonight. A $10 wager would win $64.50 and result in a payout of $74.50. That is great value for someone in a hitter-friendly ballpark that is seeing the ball really well right now.

Dinger Tuesday Pick #2: Mike Yastremski (+440 at FanDuel)

My second home run prediction today is Mike Yastremski vs Colin Rea. This is a tough pitching matchup as Rea has a 1.46 ERA this season and has given up just one home run. Yastremski, however, has seen a lot of success against Rea in his career.

Mike Yastremski vs Colin Rea

In a small sample size of just five at-bats, Yastremski has hit one over the fence twice vs Rea. He also has a double, so he is slugging 2.000 against the Cubs pitcher. Yastremski is having a strong season with five home runs on the year already. Four of his five longballs have come against right-handed pitching, so I expect Yastremski to continue his dominance against Rea tonight in Wrigley.

At FanDuel, Yastremski is +440 to go yard. I like that value for someone with an exit velocity of 90.4.

Dinger Tuesday Pick #3: Will Smith (+480 at FanDuel)

My last home run pick for Dinger Tuesday is Will Smith. Smith has a great matchup vs Cal Quantrill and the Marlins. Quantrill has an 8.10 ERA and a 1.72 HR/9 in 2025. Oddly enough, he has been even worse at home, where he spots an ERA of 9 and has allowed two home runs. Smith has three home runs this season, but tonight provides a great opportunity for him to hit another one over the fence.

He has been solid against Quantrill in his career. In 14 at-bats, Smith has four hits: one single, two doubles, and a triple. He has not hit a home run against him yet, but he is still slugging .571 vs the righty.

Smith is hitting the ball well this season with an exit velocity of 90.8 and a hard hit rate of 46.3. He is +480 to go yard tonight at FanDuel, and I love him in this matchup vs Quantrill and Miami.
