The Missouri Gaming Commission is now seeking public input on sports betting rules, allowing comments until July 16. So far, two operators have applied for licenses, and the commission has received three additional supplier license applications. The sports betting launch in Missouri is slated for December 1, 2025.
The public hearing for comments is set for July 16. The application process began on May 15 and runs until September. All applications, including those for untethered online sports betting, must be submitted by September 12.
Key dates include:
– July 15: Deadline for untethered online sports betting license applications.
– August 13: Direct online sports betting license applicants to appear before the commission.
– August 15: Announcement of selected direct online sports betting license applicants.
– December 1: Missouri sports betting launch target.
The commission can issue up to 19 retail and 14 online licenses. DraftKings applied for an untethered license in June, while Underdog is seeking both retail and online licenses, still needing a market access partner.
New supplier license applications include Catalist, Gaming Labs International, and GeoComply. As the deadline approaches, more applications are expected.
Operators are forming partnerships for market access. Only two applicants can enter without partners, to be announced on August 15. BetMGM partnered with Century Casinos for its Missouri entry. Bet365 and the St. Louis Cardinals also formed a partnership in March. FanDuel is expected to pursue a license after supporting the sports betting campaign.
