Doing the rounds recently on podcasts and interviews, Michael Porter Jr. has made some controversial comments about why his fellow NBA players, including his brother Jontay, who received a lifetime ban last year, get caught up in gambling scandals.
In a clip from the Fullcourtpass podcast, the newly-signed Brooklyn Net about how the temptation is there for some players to try to get their friends rich by faking an injury and exiting a game early to ensure they don’t hit prop bet targets:
He emphasized that doing so is not okay and that it’s just the mentality that certain people have, especially when they come from poor backgrounds.

The Indiana native remarked that people will never be happy. If he’s playing badly, someone will lose their over prop wager, while if he plays really well, then the under bettors get mad.
