On June 21, 2025, in Philadelphia, the New York Mets ended their seven-game losing streak by hitting a franchise-record seven solo home runs, defeating the Phillies 11-4. Brandon Nimmo and Juan Soto each hit two home runs, while Francisco Lindor, Jared Young, and Francisco Alvarez also contributed homers. This marked only the fifth time in franchise history that the Mets hit seven or more home runs in a single game, with the previous instance on July 19, 2021, against the Cincinnati Reds. The Mets fell one homer short of tying their franchise record of eight, set on August 24, 2015, also against the Phillies in Philadelphia. With this victory, the Mets (46-31) tied the Phillies for first place in the NL East. Mets starter Griffin Canning allowed three runs in the first two innings, but the Mets regained the lead with three consecutive homers by Lindor, Nimmo, and Soto in the third inning. Soto’s second home run in the fifth inning traveled 437 feet. After Alec Bohm reduced the Phillies’ deficit, the Mets scored six unanswered runs, including Lindor’s two-RBI double, Young’s home run in the eighth, Soto’s additional RBIs, and Alvarez’s third homer of the season in the ninth.
