Matildas star Mary Fowler has openly shared her experiences with self-harm and suicidal thoughts in her new book. These struggles began earlier in her career after relocating to Europe. Matildas coach Joe Montemurro commended Fowler for her honesty about her mental health issues. The Manchester City forward, who is 22, is currently recovering from a serious knee injury and is set to return to the field in January before the Asian Cup. Her memoir, released this week, explores her journey through depression and self-harm.
