Hungary left-back to sign five-year deal with champions
Florian Wirtz completes medical before £100m move
Liverpool have reached an agreement to acquire Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth for £40m. The left-back is scheduled for a medical next week before signing a five-year contract with the Premier League champions.
The 21-year-old Hungarian international has made a strong impression during two seasons with Bournemouth after his transfer from AZ in July 2023, contributing to their ninth-place finish last season. Liverpool currently have two left-backs, Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas. Robertson has attracted interest from Atlético Madrid, while Tsimikas might depart after five years spent mostly as a backup to the Scotland captain.
