Leeds United Chairman Vows European Glory at Promotion Parade
Leeds United chairman Paraag Marathe has set his sights high, declaring his ambition for the club to become “one of the best in all of Europe” during a jubilant open-top bus parade celebrating the team’s return to the Premier League.
The streets of Leeds were flooded with excitement on Monday as over 150,000 fans gathered in the city centre to celebrate the club’s promotion. The team, led by manager Daniel Farke, paraded through the city on three buses, greeted by waves of ecstatic supporters following their return to the top flight after a two-year absence.
“This is a moment I hope I can never forget,” said Marathe as he addressed the crowds. His bold vision reflects the club’s renewed optimism as they look to re-establish themselves among the elite in English, and eventually European, football.
